Mandarin | Pan Asian & Sushi (2024)
“Mandarin in Port de Plaisance is Asian culinary creations at its best, expanding your cuisine horizons beyond the usual and the expected.”
Pan-Asian cooking encompasses special dishes representing different nations and cultures throughout the entire continent of Asia.
Mandarin’s menu features a wide variety of sushi, spicy ramen, delicate dim sum and fresh wok stir frys from many Asia nations. Mandarin is a dining experience that combines unique ingredients while providing tantalizing flavour contrasts.
Their dishes are presented with style and are alive with colors and aromas. Presentation is as important as flavour and freshness.
The staff is delightful and the ambiance transports you to the far east. Mandarin serves very tasty sushi, but is simply outstanding with its Wok dishes, some of our recommendations:
- Japanese Noodles, tick noodles in Japanese sauce (choose your meat/fish)
- Chow Mien, very thin rice noodles with Eastern sauce (choose your meat/fish)
- Shrimp in Tempura
- Fresh made Ramen (choose your toppings)
Visit Mandarin, rediscover the true meaning of Pan Asian delights. You’ll never be the same again.

Legitimately the best Thai restaurant we have ever visited. Doesn’t matter what I get I end up liking it. My partner and I loved being in Mandarin. Their dishes are presented with style and are alive with colors and aromas. Recommended!
I had a lovely time at Mandarin. The service was quick, the staff kind and the food was really delicious. They offer quite a range of dishes. I ordered Chow Mein along with Japanese noodles. It turns out to be very yummy. Recommended to everyone!
We went a couple of times now and have tried several options... The Sushi is super tasty but as there are many on the island serving great sushi we would recommend going for the Wok when you're here.
The Asian appetizers such as Dim Sum, Shrimp Tempura, and the Wok dishes are superb... You can choose the type of Noodles; Udon, Japanese, Chow mien, Ramen etc., and choose your meat or seafood topping. All come with a unique sauce/flavor and are as tasty, making this one of the best places on Island for Wok dishes!
And best of all... the portions are super for the price so you most probably can take some home for the next day.
Just ask the waiter to explain each kind of noodles, as they are happy to explain. Lastly, we can definitely recommend the Saké cocktail served in a teapot.
Another great advantage of eating in PDP is the parking!
