Jamtillean | Local Caribbean Cuisine
“With Jamtillean’s unique Caribbean flavors, friendly staff, and fantastic lagoon views. In Jamaican, they say, ‘you get hook!’ after one visit.”
Nestled in the heart of Cole Bay right on the Lagoon with stunning views and sunsets, Jamtillean is a hidden gem.
Chef/Owner Alvin brings his native patois and a little of Jamaica to every part of the Jamtillean experience. The dishes he cooks on the open fire grill combine the flavors of his home island with his Antillean passion. Jamtillean serves delicious authentic local island food.
The menu also features international dishes that can be prepared with creole and cajun spices.
Casual, affordable dining on a relaxing patio, soft lighting, cool breezes, and experience the Caribbean on Friday nights with the exotic rhythms of live steel pan music.
They feature a variety of menu items to satisfy your craving for the Caribbean! Such as jerk pork, stewed oxtail, curried goat, lobster, and fresh off the grill Red Snapper. Some of our recommendations:
- Jamaican “festival” / Johney Cakes
- Escovitch Red Snapper or Lobster
- Shrimp Curry with Rice & Peas
- Their authentic dishes such as Stewed Oxtail or Curried Goat
Authentic food with West Indian inspiration combined with Jamaica flavors and prepared on a traditional Caribbean grill is what Jamtillean is all about.

When we ate at this place it was a very calm night, the staff was really friendly and advised us well about their favorites. We got some home-made coconut shrimp and Jamaican johney cakes, the johney cakes were a 100% recommendation for the price!
As main course we took the Mahi-Mahi and on recommendation of the staff the shrimp Curry. The Mahi was perfectly cooked, soft and juicy with a tasty grill flavor. And the shrimp curry was really wow!!! You tasted that they do not use the regular curry spices but authentic jamaican spices, never had a curry this good! Just take it with rice & peas to mix with the sauce. Other good sides were the baked potato with sauer cream that was perfectly cooked.
You get to enjoy Caribbean hospitality and food in this nice place, without the need to go all the way to Lolo's in grand case!
