Located inside Casino Royale in Maho Village, Alina is a unique fine dining restaurant on the Island.
Alina’s dishes and Sushi are authentic Japanese, made with the freshest ingredients, and bursting local flavors. The seasonal specials that make their way onto the ever-changing menu are outstanding.
Chef Ken will entertain and impress you with his culinary creations and his amazing knife skills. He studied in Taipei and Tokyo before moving around the world to enhance his skills and finally settled in St. Maarten.
Combined with some of the best Sake on the Island, your night can’t go wrong!
Alina is fashioned after a traditional Izakaya style of Japanese dining. This means that dishes are designed to be shared at the table and eaten in several courses over some time. There are plenty of styles of sushi and Asian dishes on the menu, but we recommend sitting at the Sushi Bar for the “Omakase experience“!
The word means “I will leave it to you.” Allowing Chef Ken and his team to lead you on a culinary experience filled with local delights and a variety of Asian delicacies you could only imagine. You enjoy a great variety of flavors and the most exceptional pieces of meat, fish and vegetables available on the market, together with fresh local products served in 6 to 15 small portions (depending on portion size).
At Alina, you can either enjoy their a-la-carte dinner in which you choose from their vast array of menu items or experience the Omakase for $150 per person if you like a culinary adventure. It is a great price considering the quality and rarity of the ingredients used. And if there are certain high-end ingredients you cannot get enough of, you can re-order at an added fee.
Private events at Alina:
With seating up to 120 people, a parking garage across the street, and good service, this is an excellent venue for private events. For smaller gatherings, experience their traditional Japanese private dining room, complete with Tatami style tables & seating up to 25 people.

I recently visited Alina. An outstanding meal here. I ate Sushi and enjoyed it. The staff does an amazing job of describing anything on the menu and the ambiance is very cool. Canโt wait to come back!
It was such a beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing experience to be at Alina Restaurant. They offer the best Japanese cuisine on SXM Island. The service was very good and the servers were kind and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed being at this restaurant. And will visit it again to enjoy the best sushi!
Best sushi I had in ages! I know this sounds very clichรฉ, but it really was super! We trusted We Are SXM and chose the Omakase experience, Ken and his staff blew our mind. Like, really...try this place when you're in Maho!

Great food and Ken is amazing, a 5 star experience. We let the chef choose for us at the Sushi Bar and never had such good Asian cuisine! Trust me, you'll love it, the dishes are to die for. Thank me after ;)
