Beirut | Lebanese Restaurant 2024
“Middle eastern dishes, vegetarian and vegan options all cooked to perfection, this Lebanese restaurant serves food that you will remember.”
Owner Khaled traveled the world as a chef but when arriving in SXM he noticed our island was unfamiliar with his cuisine. That’s when he decided to share his passion for the flavors and fare of the middle east. And so, in 2005 Khaled opened the very first Lebanese restaurant in Sint Maarten, now called Beirut.
The menu of Beirut has developed over the years adjusting to its customers, carrying authentic Lebanese cuisine combined with international dishes.
Khaled emphasizes that everything is made from scratch and with only fresh ingredients, from the hand-cut fries to the kebabs and not to forget the amazing sauces.
Beirut is known to have lots of vegan and vegetarian options such as falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, wine leaves, parsley salad, and a lot more.
Furthermore, the meats and fish are marinated with spices from back home and grilled to perfection on the open fire. Our recommendations:
- The Beirut platter (combination of all the good stuff)
- Home-Made kebabs
- Vegetarian Platter
Start your dinner with “Arak”, a Lebanese type of pastis to open the palette. Other must-tries to pair with your meal are the beer from Beirut and Lebanese wine.
Enjoy your time at Beirut!

Was invited by Khaled to try a specially made Beirut platter and all I could say is WOW!
You know when you eat a grilled kebab and it's so nicely grilled that it has a little crunch on the outside and is yet super juicy and full of flavor on the inside, now that are the kebabs they make here. Very nice and tasty, especially together with the homemade garlic sauce....
Then there was baba ghanousj, hummus, wine leaves, falafel, spring rolls and parsley salad served with pita bread and pairs very well with the meat. Everything had a unique flavor and when speaking with Khaled he explained to me that a large part of his herbs he gets flown in from Lebanon as it's impossible to get here on the island. When you can taste the owners origin that's what makes places unique, it is super to notice the passion Khaled has for sharing and allowing you to try his food culture.
The left top corner picture was my dish and am certainly coming back for this one.
Thanks for the great meal, Khaled and see you soon!
