Pirate Hideout 2024 | Beach Bar & Restaurant
“Pirate Hideout Beach Bar & Restaurant skirts the idyllic seashore of Orient Bay with its cool tropical breezes and azure waters that offer up an amazing « day at the beach » experience.”
This simple but sought-after food spot had its early beginnings in 1977 when Orient beach was just sand, sea, almond trees, iguanas, and the wandering tourists who would be drawn to the tantalizing aroma of wood-smoked meats, fish caught on the spot, and the island staple -Johnny cakes.
Today, Pirate Hideout Beach Bar & Restaurant has evolved into a highly rated, competitive eatery showcasing a masterly fusion of Caribbean cuisine and French fare to include Vegan & Gluten-free options.
You can find an exciting Tuna Tataki alongside island favorites such as Conch stew (lambi fricassee), braised oxtails (queues de bœuf braisees) and stuffed crab backs ( crab farcis).
This partnership is further enhanced with a unique offering of local, homemade juices in season such as sorrel, soursop, passion-ginger and freshly- squeezed lemonade.
And those not afraid of the stronger concoctions can sip on their signature “Fire in the Hole”, the refreshing Kiwi Margarita with chili-lime salt rim or the #1 frozen drink “Paradiso”.
Owner Gillian along with a friendly, inviting staff treat each client as family in an atmosphere of casual sophistication. Hence, a visit to Orient Bay is not complete without a stopover at Pirate Hideout Beach Bar & Restaurant.
