Owner Daniel has hospitality in his blood as his parents traveled the world to assist in the opening of luxury resorts such as Belmond La Samanna.
Daniel himself began his career in 1982, assisting his parents with their first restaurant, “Antoine’s,” in Philipsburg. After that he was part of restaurants such as “The Red Snapper” & “Da Livio” before operating the famous Mr. Busby’s, Daniel’s by the sea, Island Pizza, and the Oyster Bay grocery store all located in Dawn Beach.
Until hurricane Irma passed in 2017 and left nothing but destruction. When on top of this the landowners decided to sell, Daniel had to search for new opportunities.
When a former client and friend from Canada, Anne Martine Manseau, asked if he wanted to start her “Reveil Matin” concept in Sint Maarten, Daniel didn’t hesitate.
And so, Reveil Matin in Simpson Bay opened its doors in 2020, offering a contemporary, modern breakfast and lunch experience with lots of attention to detail. Everything is made to entertain, from the menus to the placemats, coloring books and decorations. NOTE: CASH ONLY!
The kitchen prepares Canadian and French Canadian foods served with seasoned potatoes using a one-of-a-kind Canadian condiment. Fresh ham is baked in house and fruits are bountiful served as a side or add on.
Our recommendations:
Come in the morning and start your day with a specialty coffee or juice together with fruits, eggs your way, or French toast. And as there’s an hour for everything, try their famous Egg Benedict “The Charme’Heure”, “Moitie-Moitie” (half fruits, half potato), “Croque-Heure” (unique twist to the croque-monsieur), or the fantastic stuffed crepe “Foul Seconde”. And if all this is too unknown for you, they also have great sandwiches, bagels, pancakes, crepes and waffles.

Visit Monday to Friday at lunch hour between 11 am to 3 pm when Reveil Matin adds 3 to 4 gourmet lunch options presented on a chalkboard. Creating a euro-style bistro lunch with quality options all under twenty dollars!
