If you are into cheese, this place is a MUST during your vacation. AMCS is like a cheese haven where you can find any type of Dutch cheese, Dutch souvenirs and accessories that help you cut, slice or serve…. cheese.
Their BRAND-NEW store in Philipsburg is located on Emmaplein #1 right next to Jump Up Casino and within walking distance from the cruise-ship port. The location has a large parking area, making this an easy find for tourists from the ships or staying on the island.
In their beautiful store you can find numerous varieties of Cheese available: Edam, Gouda, and flavored cheeses: pesto, garlic, cumin, herbs, pepper, truffle, smoked cheeses, and cream cheeses. There are always plenty of samples and great stories about cheese history.
The liquor selection is vast, with unique brands and bottles—cognacs, Whiskeys, Bourbons, Gins, Rums, Vodkas, and Wines from all around the globe. Try the unique Dutch Jenever, the mother of Gin!
You can also find Dutch souvenirs like clogs, wooden tulips, delft blue items, and delicious Dutch treats. Of course, there are local island souvenirs too, Guavaberry Rum, homemade Ti-Punch, and Caribbean hot sauces!
But the best seller of the store is without a doubt the Old Amsterdam Cheese, people come from all over the island or even abroad to have a slice of this yellow golden goodness.

Amsterdam Cheese & Liquor store organizes daily Wine & Cheese Pairings upon request and from 2 people already. So you get the opportunity to try 5 of the best Dutch cheeses paired with two tasty wines (or another beverage) in a 50 min engaging, fun, and informative event. All the staff is knowledgeable and can give great recommendations based on your palette.
The price for the tasting is only $25 per person

This shop has the most delicious cheese I’ve ever eaten in my life. I brought home a few of their cheeses and all were amazingly good. An excellent selection of fine cheeses. We made a stop here during our Trolly Train tour. Great ice cream as well. Amsterdam Cheese & Liquor Store is a must-visit place!
Haven't seen so much Blanton's in 1 place, check out their Bourbon stock :) Also super cheeses from around the world, but I prefer the Dutch cheese!
Super to have a store like this on SXM, try the pesto / garlic cheese or the old Amsterdam and the Dutch Jenevers. Am very happy to get these products on Island and super for Tourists to take home a little bit of the Netherlands :)
