Over the last 10 years, we have been taking pictures in Sint Maarten and Saint Martin. We would love to share some of the best images with you while bringing entertainment, so we made our “Friendly Island Games”.
We made an Island Memo game, Island Card Deck, and Island Quartets/Go Fish game. The island memory and cards have gorgeous pictures from all around SXM. The Go Fish/Quartets game is full of everything to do, restaurants, nightlife, activities, boats, and so forth, playing it will really help you plan your vacation or remember fun experiences you have had.

The Friendly Island Games – Souvenir of SXM
Below you find more information on the 3 available games, read how each game works and have fun with your loved-one, family or friends. A great way to get together and have a good time.
Memory Game
Island Memory Game – 24 Sets of 2 Cards to play with. Goal: collect as many sets of 2 as possible, the person with the most sets wins the game.
How to play: Shake the deck well, and flip all the cards face down. Spread all the cards nicely on the table. Clockwise everyone gets to flip two cards per turn, when you flip 2 identical images you get to keep the set and turn another 2 cards. Make sure to flip 2 cards so that everyone can see the image and flip them back face down afterwards. Once you flip two of the same cards you can take the set. Try to remember which image people flipped and where this card was located in order to flip a set. The person with most sets at the end of the game wins the game. While playing you get to enjoy some of the best Island images, beaches, sightseeing, nature, culture and a lot more.

Card Deck
Island Card Deck – 52 cards and 2 jokers to play with. Goal: Play an endless amount of Card Games while enjoying island pictures
How to play: Card games have entertained people for centuries and have always been a great way to pass time. They’re social, portable and inexpensive (unless you’re gambling with money), and the rules are easy to learn. Great games to play with 2 are: 500 Rummy and Cribbage, old time favorites are Hearts, Euchre, and Poker. Great card games for families are Cheat (I Doubt It), Fan Tan and 99.

Go Fish / Quartets
Island Go Fish – Quartets – 15 Sets of 4 Cards to play with. Goal: collect as many sets of 4 as possible, the person with the most sets wins the game.
How to play: Shake the deck, each player gets 7 cards, and all other cards go in the middle. Every card has a color code with a category, the name colored black is the one you have, the ones in white are the ones you try to get from others until you have a set. The first player starts by asking a random player if he/she has one of the cards from a category in his hands. If he guesses the card the opponent has from the same set, he/she has to give him the card and the player can ask the same or another person for another card. If within your first try, you do not guess any card right, you take one card from the deck and the turn goes to the person next to you (clockwise). Once you guess one card right, you do not take a card from the deck.
Try to remember which category and which card everyone is asking for to know which category they have and which cards they do not have. You can ONLY ask from categories that are in your hand, when caught cheating by not giving a card or asking a card from a category you do not have you automatically loose the game. So play it fair and square so everyone can have fun :)
At the end of the game everyone counts their sets of 4, the player with most sets collected wins the game.
